let's play a game called spot the "BAK KUT TEH". Ready, set, GO!!!!!!

How? Can't find eh? Ok, 1st and foremost, i really must give a thumbs up to the gomen for making this list. BUT.......gimme a minute. Let me see how many of these food have i tasted, seen or heard of. 1,2,3,4..........20......30.....40,41,42,43,44. That's the number of food that i've tasted, seen or heard of out of the 100 in the list.

OK, here's a simple question. Why is Air Kelapa which is something u can find anywhere in the tropical area is included in the list but the "to-die-for-mother-or-all-food-which-can-be-served-as-breakfast-lunch-or-dinner" which is THE BAK KUT TEH not included? Okay, may be i am over reacting on this but, can u blame me? I'm from Klang you know?

Another question, what's the point of making a list if u can't even make it right?

Here's a pic of the ORIGINAL KLANG BAK KUT TEH that i took last December

Fragrant Spirit Of Life - Sam & Esther

A friend of mine asked me to watch this video just a while ago. I am literally speechless and stunned. Please spare some time to view this video.

I teared my eyes looking at how the elder sister took care of her siblings even though she's just 8 years old herself.

Words: Flower or Poison?

The greatest pain one person can inflict on another is neither by punching with fist nor kicking with leg, but by words coming from our mouth. A wounded heart heals much much slower than a wounded body.

Think before we say something regarding other people. Not everyone is as lucky as we are. Not everyone has the privilege of choosing between good, better and best; but are forced to choose between bad, worse and worst. So do not be judgemental for whatever choices they made so long as they do not bring any harm to you and the people you care about.

You might feel superior or comfortable when bad-mouthing or spreading rumours about someone, but before doing that, please be reminded that the other person is also a human being just like us. They would laugh when they're happy, cry when they're sad and bleed when they're injured.

If you think that you're friend is heading a wrong direction or having some problems, the 1st thing you're suppose to do is to talk to that friend to see if there's anyway to help. May be things aren't as they appeared to be.

God blessed us with 2 things that other living being doesn't have which is the ability to think logically and the ability to speak. Use them wisely.

People who are judgemental are bound to be judged

A bit of everything

Science and maths in BM
Ok, so that's something new, at least right at the moment. Yet it's something that isn't that unexpected, especially by the current government. A few weeks back, even Anwar stood up and agreed on the matter. Somehow disappointed with his decision.

A few years back while i was just a secondary student, the government changed the medium in teaching science and maths from BM to English and at that time, i thought to myself : "wow, Malaysia finally has some improvement in the education area and we can at least catch up a bit by learning these subjects in English". Prior to that, i don't even know what the hell is an "apparatus", seriously.

The government think that they can make the people more patriotic by making them to learn in the national language. But in my point of view, if the students continue to learn science and maths in BM, they would be left out from the rest of the world especially those who are weak in English. So at the end of the day, more and more people would hate BM because they would think that BM is the reason that had slowed them down.

One of my friend just told me that it's not the problem with the medium they use, it's the teaching method they use. Couldn't have agree more on this. Anyone of you who have been through Malaysia's education system must have notice the flaw in it. But nevertheless, it would take them years to improve on that, but we might have the upper hand if English is used as a medium in teaching Science and Maths.

New Environment
Same state, same university, same car, same house, same room. So what's so different? For the passed year, I've been sharing room with 2 other friend - jun hui and kam foo. It was great all the while but 3 person sharing a not-so-big room would make things a little crowded. So at the end of last semester, Kam Foo decided to move out together with his course mates (he was the only non-engineering student in the whole house) leaving me and jun hui to share a room which i can describe by "spacious for 2 but crowded for 3". Well, the rent has gone up because of that too, but still, happier than ever.

New Lens
Recently, my bro bought me a 2nd hand 55-200mm nikkor lens which I'm very grateful of. Haven't got the chance to try it out though. Hopefully there will be trips in the coming months. Wanna make full use of the lens so i won't be wasting my bro's money.

Below is a photo i've taken on my trip to Bukit Cahaya at the begining of sem break. Took quite a few photos that day but only a few turned out nice. Didn't get the lighting i want because it was hazy the whole day.

Another reason to flee to other countries?

Encouraging students to take max of 10 subjects in SPM, great idea. Limiting the max number of subjects student can take in SPM, stupidest idea ever. Another great example of chopping the toes to fit the shoe. Great job in worsening the country's already beaten-up education system. Fantastic

What My Name Means (Numerology)

You entered: ANG CHUNG VI

There are 10 letters in your name.
Those 10 letters total to 52
There are 3 vowels and 7 consonants in your name.

Your number is: 7

The characteristics of #7 are: Analysis, understanding, knowledge, awareness, studious, meditating.

The expression or destiny for #7:
Thought, analysis, introspection, and seclusiveness are all characteristics of the expression number 7. The hallmark of the number 7 is a good mind, and especially good at searching out and finding the truth. You are so very capable of analyzing, judging and discriminating, that very little ever escapes your observation and deep understanding. You are the type of person that can really get involved in a search for wisdom or hidden truths, often becoming an authority on whatever it is your are focusing on. This can easily be of a technical or scientific nature, or it may be religious or occult, it matters very little, you pursue knowledge with the same sort of vigor. You can make a very fine teacher, or because of a natural inclination toward the spiritual, you may become deeply emerged in religious affairs or even psychic explorations. You tend to operate on a rather different wavelength, and many of your friends may not really know you very well. The positive aspects of the 7 expression are that you can be a true perfectionist in a very positive sense of the word. You are very logical, and usually employ a quite rational approach to most things you do. You can be so rational at times that you almost seem to lack emotion, and when you are faced with an emotional situation, you may have a bit of a problem coping with it. You have excellent capabilities to study and learn really deep and difficult subjects, and to search for hidden fundamentals. At full maturity you are likely to be a very peaceful and poised individual.

If there is an over supply of the number 7 in your makeup, the negative aspects of the number may be apparent. The chief negative of 7 relates to the limited degree of trust that you may have in people. A tendency to be highly introverted can make you a bit on the self-centered side, certainly very much self-contained . Because of this, you are not very adaptable, and you may tend to be overly critical and intolerant. You really like to work alone, at your own pace and in your own way. You neither show or understand emotions very well.

Your Soul Urge number is: 4

A Soul Urge number of 4 means:
With the Soul Urge or Motivation number of 4 you are likely to strive for a stable life. You tend to follow a rather orderly pattern and systematic approach in your endeavors. You have an inner desire to serve others in a methodical and diligent manner. You want to be in solid, conventional, and well-regulated activities, and you are somewhat disturbed by innovation and erratic or sudden changes. Excellent at organizing, systematizing, and managing, you have a way of establishing order and maintaining it. You are responsible, reliable and in the final analysis, practical. Highly analytical, you can see your way through all sorts of situations and generally have a clear understanding of the issues. You are a very honest, sincere, and conscientious individual.

The negative side of the 4 is rigid, stubborn and somewhat narrow-minded. There is a tendency to hide feelings, or to really not be aware of real feelings. Avoid being too rigid and stubborn in your thinking, and try to always see the big picture rather than becoming to involved with the detail. Don't be afraid to take a chance once in awhile.

Your Inner Dream number is: 3

An Inner Dream number of 3 means:
You dream of artistic expression; writing, painting, music. You would seek to more freely express your inner feeling and obtain more enjoyment from life. You also dream of being more popular, likable, and appreciated.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've decided to post this since i'm operating at a different wavelength and many of my friends may not really know me very well. Somehow i feel quite proud about that statement, it makes me feel special in some kinda strange way. That's the way i am - strange.

Anyway, i find this analysis quite accurate. Try it yourself here if u think so too. Post a comment if u find it not so true. Thank you for reading the whole passage eventhough it's quite long (for me). It shows that you're interested in knowing me better.

P.S: uploaded more photos to my Beginner's Photography Attempts Album 1 which you all can find at the right side bar. How bout a preview?

R.I.P. Dear Dear Dr. Harimi

Was planning to post something here after abandoning my blog for more than a month. Just did not foresee that i would be blogging about another death in my blog.

Dr. Harimi Mohamad, a lecturer whom i deeply respect, had passed away last night suffering from terminal cancer. We were all aware that he was getting very sick since he last taught us last semester.

Seniors who are studying under him this semester told us that his condition had gotten so worse that he would sometimes just stare blank at the class (may be it was the effect of his treatment). He was frequently seen accompanied by his wife and daughter this semester because of this. His wife would help him to move around the school. Really glad that he can spend his final days with his love ones.

Attended his funeral this afternoon after the ceremony had ended (not sure if there's any). A few other lecturers were there too, paying their final respect. He was survived by his wife, son, daughter and sister who teaches us Numerical Method in place of him.

Farewell Dr. Harimi - my mentor, my teacher, my friend.

Saddened...Truely, Deeply Saddened

Yesterday morning, i woke up at about 10am and straight away sat in front of my comp playing a new online strategy game I'm currently addicted to. While i was on it, i received a call from William. He said that his girlfriend's course mate had an accident, severely injured and put into ICU. He asked me whether me or anyone i know have blood type O because they needed it.

So i asked around and most of the ppl i know does not have the same blood type. Then while i was having my lunch, i received several messages from friends around UMS, urging ppl who have the blood type to donate their blood saying that a guy named "Chok"'s life was in danger. (things were getting pretty serious)

Had my lunch, came back and asked William what had happened actually. He said he's not very clear with the situation but what he knows is, that fellow fell into a huge drain just beside my school and was discovered after about 4 hours. He was in a life threatening situation and doctor said it'll all depends whether he'll regain conscious within 24 hours.

A lot of us talked about that incident and all of us thought that Chok would probably survive. Then, just this afternoon, while i was again playing that game, William came into my room telling me the guy from yesterday had just passed away. It was at this exact moment that i had recalled that according to the messages I've received yesterday, the guy studies Kimia Industri and named "Chok". I also recalled that the fellow who had just passed away is actually the guy sitting in front of me in Kadazandusun class who always wear a Kimia Industri T-Shirt. See where I'm getting?

I mean, what the f*ck? Is this even real? Well i not really close with him but we were classmates for more than a year. And last Tuesday when i had my oral assessment, i chatted with him for a while, asking how was his preparation and stuff. *sigh* posting this so that i will remember him in the future because when a good person dies, there should be some difference in this world, ppl should feel sad about it.

Here comes the pain

It's already week 7 of our lecture week and all the stuff that have been accumulated now came pouring in like there's no tomorrow. Having Mechanics of Machines midterm this Saturday and both Advance Applied Mechanics and Kadazandusun midterm next Tuesday. To make matter worse, we were informed to submit our formal lab report next Tuesday too. OMFG. Luckily Mr. Chua is understanding enough to postpone the due date to the week after. Phew....

*McD Spree*
I guess most if not all of you have already eaten or heard about McD's McLunch promotion which costs only RM6.25 after tax. You can either have a McChicken, Fillet-o-Fish, McNugget or Double Cheeseburger. A bunch of my coursemates went to have McD last tuesday during lunch but i couldn't join because i was having my Kadazan class that time (sigh). But i did join them on Thursday, Friday and this Monday too. The most memorable is when i had 2 sets of McLunch on Friday because Hai Yew was daring me to do it and i told him i would do it if he also does the same. Ended up not eating anything for the next 23hours. I guess 2 sets of McD can supply enough energy for an average adult for 20+ hours O.O Goin to McD for lunch later and when i go to town tomoro for my technopreneurship's assignment.

*Assignment*
Having very little assignment this semester compared to other sem which can explain the amount of free time i've had for the past few weeks. However, there's 1 very interesting assignment we are having which is the above mentioned - technopreneurship's assignment. Our lecturer requested us to find a [REAL] shop / company in Sabah which does not have a website and we have to design a webpage for them. Okay, it's not as tough as it sounds, because we're using mariniaga.com which i heard is managed by our lecturer. All we need to do is to design a banner, intro page, company profile and upload all the products on the website.

My project partner, Ah Fatt and I have found a shop called Outdoor Gear which sells what else - stuff that you need for outdoor adventure. Went to town thrice for the project. 1st time was to scout for potential shop. 2nd and 3rd time was to get photos and info of their products. Spent about 4 hours thinking and editing the banner for the website last weekend and Ah Fatt is uploading the products as we speak. I'm glad that i can put all the stuff i've learned from using GIMP for the past 4 years into good use. Anyone who is curious, feel free to visit the shop's website here. Just for additional info, i got all those ideas from this site here.

*Song I'm listening to now*
Here's a song which I'm listening to now which is also an annoyance to my roommates because it's the only song in my play list currently. That's how i am, i always listen to a new song which I'm very fond of repeatedly.
